There is a organisation for promoting Lean UX. They hold lectures every-so-often, I attended the Oct 2014 one. I took notes in passing. I am converting this into a resource, as I am on a boring train ride. I'm not sure this is a valuable resource.

  • (Futureheads are agency as well as a band.)
  • Andrew Godfrey ~ @tweet_godrey
  • Jeff Gotheff, 2013, lean UX
  • user centric design ~ onnnectra, but no full stack...
  • DocCentrics ~ bill processing, presumably "campaign for plain English"
  • This is lean
  • Iterative design, blah, oh so very different.
  • Break silos again, blah, blah.
  • Just kill all the empire builders?
  • ooohh look, its a reseller stack
  • whoffle on commitment, I guess they are talking about to the client
  • cooo-locaashun
  • temp demos may be faster via papertech, rather than usin VCS
  • can you wireframe via paper?
  • A Godfery does handover for market to the clients/ experts, hurray
  • .
  • designing a framework.
  • Foolproof use template coding.
  • Wednesday is meetup day
  • split for sprints, in three days time
  • SCRUM retrospectives
  • UX vs graphic design
  • see OO. again.
  • build with analytics, try mailchimp
  • MVP for all. Understanding testing
  • push management.
  • deal with client whoffle, by not spending money.
  • Customer first design. Client not involved.
  • .

  • Michelle Ide Smith
  • notes on sql development process
  • many remote developers
  • market creation is r&d
  • focus on value not proposition
  • empathy map
  • research sessions in a conference
  • Oracle tool designed for PDEs. Licence must cost.
  • .
  • the fundamental idea of contemporary design structures is to reduce the gap between reality and “the business machine”.
  • es is alles
  • reality ships without paperwork and milestones
  • keep updating things
  • network like a bacteria
  • reality ships without money
  • Habit/SOP has little strategic benefit.
